About the job

This role sits within the Finance Department which is independent to the General Management team; whilst working closely with various departments of the hotel and key staff, the candidate will report directly to the MD & Board, covering all aspects relating to financial management.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Preparation of monthly and yearly financial statements as per IFRS/BFRS (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement)

  • Maintain Payments & Receipts Ledger

  • Prepare and submit AIT, VAT via ECR and Tax Returns on time.

  • Prepare analysis and validate weekly/monthly variances

  • Performing various data analysis and adding value for management

  • Profitability analysis / ROI/ROE for investors

  • Verifying daily sales and expenses according to company policies

  • Revenue assurance to minimize revenue leakages and ensure data is properly reflected in PMS

  • Cost controlling; monitoring expenses and help identify operational cost efficiencies

  • Monitoring Inventory/stock usage for accrual based reporting

  • Monitor the timely and accurate performance of the credit receivables/ payables

  • Handling / processing supplier payments

  • Managing company payroll

  • Collaboration with regulatory body (Bangladesh bank, National board of revenue etc)

Requirements

  • Accounting qualification; at least part-qualified (Professional / Application level), CA, ACA, CMA or equivalent

  • At least 3 years accounting & audit experience (within hotel highly desirable) - including articleship experience

  • MUST HAVE proficient Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, charts and graphs)

  • Experience using PMS/ ERM / ECR systems desirable

  • Proficient with emails, word processing

  • Ability to communicate to key stakeholders in English & Bangla
