Qualifications/ Experience

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Strong financial and business acumen

• Contribute ideas to maximise sales and proactively reduce unnecessary expenses to improve bottom line targets

• Excellent customer service skills

• Experience in hotel management, revenue management, and team management

• Willingness to actively lead by example and demonstrate to staff how things are done

• Oversee development, implementation and monitoring of departmental SOPs

• Daily QC spot checks to ensure team is maintaining required level service standards

• Natural people person - not shy away from interacting with guests, VIPs and can add a personalised touch to create memorable experiences

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

The following skills/qualifications are also beneficial:

• Experience working in a 4 or 5-star hotel

• Data driven - ability to extrapolate MIS and come up with meaningful reports and performance analysis

• Fluency in English and Bengali languages

• Knowledge of local area, culture and customs a plus

• Certification in hospitality management/ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field

Note this role is not suitable for purely a desk based manager; although time will be necessary for planning and other administrative tasks; Candidate will be expected to spend significant time on the feet going around from one department to the other to ensure an impeccable standard of service
